Alick and Debbie Howard moved to Cómpeta in May 2005 with a view to getting off the “hamster wheel” of living and working in Greater London. They arrived in Spain giving themselves 6 months to find some way of making a living. Over a period of time the idea developed of opening a “newsagents/bookshop”, and thus Todo Papel opened in September 2005.

In 2009 they put a permanent exhibition of the photographs of Mitch France. The exhibition can been seen during regular store hours.
